Liverpool fans will remember this Brian May look-alike after his two goals in the Champions League effectively knocked Rafa Benitez’s side out at the group stages, sending Fiorentina through at their expense. Now one of the hottest commodities in Europe, Jovetic signed for Fiorentina from Partizan at the age of 18 for a total fee of €8 million, and this season alone he scored 10 goals and assisted seven in 31 games. His performances for La Viola have led to comparisons with Fiorentina legend Robberto Baggio – the gifted playmaker also being able to play out wide, up-front or in centre midfield. Liverpool are rumoured to have sent scouts to watch Jovetic after his demolition job of them. Maybe he’s on Roy Hodgson’s radar…
